Sometimes a restaurant comes into being as a personal aspiration, sometimes, a family effort. Sometimes, a whole town gets involved. And that’s a lot like how our shop on historic Main Street in the green mountain town of Logan, UT came about.

It started with a call from the mayor. He’d heard about the success of our food and cause in Salt Lake City, and felt like it would really take off in his city. So, we went to have a look. That’s when we met the bones of a 100-year old building on a historic Main Street. Landlord Mark Felstead and his father, Russ, of the Sportsman next door. (Russ‘ collection of original paintings and lifelong love of George O’Keeffe). Downtown Alliance member Gary Takis. Sally of Café Ibis. Matt of Cache Community Food Pantry. And when opening day came, our dining room was packed. Today, students, farmers, retirees, owners and organizers dine together alike in pursuit of community and craft.

The experience continues to harken back to a time when things were simpler, like a backyard garden and a jar of homemade jam. Artifacts include a centuries old barber chair, antique wingback chairs and exposed dining room walls with 100 year old layers of paint, plaster, and wallpaper.
